Community Group Work
Community Group Work is provided via our four bases in Barking, Leytonstone, Silvertown and Romford. These bases are open for 48 weeks of the year, and are closed for two weeks in winter, one week in spring and summer, and on bank holidays. Our bases are fully accessible and can offer you support if you have physical disabilities or other health needs. All of our bases are close to buses and trains so that it is easier to get around.
Community Group Work can provide you with transport if you need it. Eastways transport is fully accessible for people who use wheelchairs. Our transport usually leaves to pick people up from their homes at 8.45am and drops the last person home at about 4.45pm. Our transport is also available for you if you need it to access your daytime activities.
If you need it, you will be supported by one member of staff all of the time. This cannot be the same member of staff all of the time. We can also offer you 1:2 or 1:3 staffing support.
Refreshments are provided for you if you access Community Group Work.
